Kaduna State  Open To Private Investments – Dep Gov

The Deputy Governor of Kaduna State,  Dr. Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe at the weekend, said that Kaduna State is  prosperous, with people who are healthy, well educated and decent standard of living, hence, it is open for private investments.

Dr. Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe made this known when she  received the Ambassador of Italy to Nigeria, His Excellency, Stefano De Leo on a courtesy visit to Sir Kashim Ibrahim House in Kaduna.

Dr. Balarabe pointed out that since 2016, the state’s vigorous pursuit of private investment has attracted foreign direct investments to the tune of $4.8 billion in various sectors of the state.

She  said,  the Human Capital Council developed a vision in Kaduna, making it a prosperous state with people who are healthy,  well educated and decent standard of living.

She also stated that  the government of Kaduna State has created two economic zones; the Green Agro-Allied Industrial Zone (GAAIZ), and the Green Economic Zone (GEZ), in addition to creating strong institutions like KADIPA and legal frameworks to support and protect private businesses in the state.

In a remark, the Italian Ambassador who was accompanied by his Deputy, Tarek Chazli and Pifr Paow Messina, a consulate staff who came to partner with the state, discussed areas of possible cooperation and relationship.

De Leo listed cultural exchange, private investments in manufacturing, construction, tourism, agriculture, human capital development, as well as vocational education and skills training as areas of interest  Italy would partner with Kaduna State.
