No fewer than four thousand and five hundred (4,500) members of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bakori Local Government Area of Katsina State have decamped to Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Alhaji Danlami Mai taki and Hajiya Bilki Aliyu are the most prominent politicians in the area who abandoned APC for PDP during its Gubernatorial Campaign rally held in Bakori metropolis.
Special prayers were offered at the rally for the recent killings in the area.
Addressing hundreds of the PDP followers at the rally, the Gubernatorial Candidate of the party, Senator Garba Yakubu Lado Danmarke while sympathizing with those died in the area, described the killings as “very unfortunate. “
” What’s happening in the country has became a lesson for all Nigerians to elect the right people and vote out APC Governments at all levels, “Senator Yakubu Lado Danmarke emphasized.
He reiterated his commitment to complete, executes more developmental projects and all unfulfilled promises made by the APC Government in the state.
” I’m fully aware of the problems affecting people in the state more especially insecurity and people will be empowered for socio – economic development of the state, ” Senator Lado Danmarke assured.
Director General Atiku and Lado campaign council in Katsina state, Dr.Mustapha Mohammed Inuwa who offered prayers and sympathized with the families of those died during the recent killings in Bakori and Kankara local government areas told the gathering that, “It is high time for people to do the right things as elections approach.”
However, the Chairman Katsina State Atiku and Lado Campaign Council, Senator Umar Tsauri said that, when Atiku and Lado became President and Governor issues of Agricultural, Water, Medical, Education, Fertilizer, Insecurity and Opening the Nation’s Borders would be given priority.
Senator Umar Tsauri said the massive crowd turned out in Bakori local government was a testimony that, PDP has already won elections in the area.
Senator Tsauri expressed gratitude for the warm reception in all the local governments visited during the gubernatorial campaign rallies.
