Buni Commissions  Nguru Ultra Modern Market

The Yobe State Governor, Hon. Mai Mala Buni CON, Gombe State Governor, Muhammed Inuwa Yahaya and the President of the Senate, Ahmad Ibrahim Lawan  were on ground to commission the  new Modern Market in Nguru town of Yobe State, named after Sheikh Muhammad Njibirima.

The Sheikh Muhammad Njibirima Modern Market Nguru was commissioned by the Gombe State Governor, Muhammed Inuwa Yahaya together with President of the Senate Ahmad Ibrahim Lawan and the host, Governor Hon. Mai Mala Buni CON.

New Nigerian reports that the new ultra-modern market has 505 shops of different sizes, a mosque and an administrative block.

Other structures include, refuse site, bank, perimeter fence, borehole, drainages, access roads and car parking lots. 

The governor said at the inauguration of the market, that it was part of deliberate investment by government towards economic prosperity in the community.

According to him, the construction of the ultra-modern market is to erase barriers to securing trading places in the area.

“We commissioned the market as part of the programme to promote opportunity and economic development in the communities,” he added.

While appealing to all communities to work for peace and harmony, the governor added that economic development requires an atmosphere of concord in which everyone feels safe to pursue  livelihoods.

“Let us defeat poverty together and build communities of prosperity,”  he urged the people.

Meanwhile, the Senate President, Ahmed Ibrahim Lawan (All Progressives Congress (APC – Yobe North), said the ultra-modern market would boost socio-economic development of Nguru Local Government Area.

He urged people of the area to reciprocate the gesture by working for sustainable peace,  to attract more development.

The President of the Senate,  made a donation of 100 million Naira to the business community in the area.
