The suspended Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), David Babachir Lawal, on Tuesday appeared before the Yemi Osinbajo-led panel, where he answered questions over the alleged violations of due process in the award of contracts under the Presidential Initiative on the North East (PINE).
Lawal arrived the Presidential Villa around 1pm and was ushered before the Vice President. He left at 3.35pm.
The panel had on Monday grilled the suspended Director-General of the National Inteligence Agency (NIA), Ambassador Ayo Oke.
Oke was suspended over the recovery of $43million from a Lagos apartment, by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
The panel went through documents and quizzed some officials during the 11-hour sesssion that began at 10am.
The suspended NIA DG told the committee, that he wrote a memo to the National Security Adviser (NSA) on the $43,illion for covert operations.
He also insisted he informed the NSA, Maj.-Gen. Babagana Monguno, who is a member of the committee, about the money.
The three-man committee, which was set up by President Muhammadu Buhari last Wednesday, has 14 days to complete their investigations and submit their reports.
