Chairman House of Representatives Committee on Commerce, Hon. Ahmed Munir has inspected a 50mw electricity generation equipment at Hyundai Heavy Industrial Plants in South Korea.

The heavy energy-generating equipment would be in Nigeria anytime soon, according to Hon. Munir, who expressed satisfaction with arrangements made so far between the country and Seoul.

He added that the equipment would boost the economy of Nigeria and create jobs by providing a 50 megawatts of electricity in the nation’s economic zones.

He asserted that the added 50 megawatts of electricity would go a long way in complementing the effort of the present administration in improving power generation, transmission and distribution across the country.

He insisted that no economy would thrive without adequate and sustainable electricity, capable of driving industrial and commercial activities for growth and development.
