Kaduna Electric has set up rapid response teams to respond to down time on Band A feeders in Kaduna.
It has also called on customers to contact the teams to report faults for prompt response.
A statement issued by the company’s Head of Corporate Communication, Abdulazeez Abdullahi, said that the four member team set up to cover Doka, Zaria, Rigasa and Barnawa regions each in Kaduna State, saying that majority of the Band A feeders are to operate round the clock to ensure speedy clearance of faults and restoration of supply whenever their is a down time.
It said, “setting up the rapid response team is part of Kaduna Electric’s efforts to ensure uninterrupted power supply to the Band A customers whose tariff has just been adjusted.”
According to the statement, details of the team members included their names and phone numbers could be found on the company’s website at www.kadunaelectric.com and customers can contact them 24/7 to report down time for prompt response.
Kaduna Electric, according to the statement that it has been meeting up its obligations of providing up to 20 hours power supply daily on its Band A feeders in compliance with the stipulations of the Service Based Tariff regime.
It added that it has earned it commendation from the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission at the daily service review meetings that holds between the regulator and all distribution companies.
The statement said efforts are ongoing to upgrade more lower Bamd feeders to higher bands for Improved power supply. It warned customers to desist from indulging in all forms of energy theft and meter tampering as it has taken measures to apprehend and prosecute perpetrators.
