Police, Customs Forge Stronger Ties In Ridding Kaduna Of Crime

Closer ties have been cemented between the NIgeria Police and NIgeria Customs Service (NCS) to collaborate in ridding Kaduna State and by extension, NIgeria of crime and criminal activities through the prevention of free flow of prohibited items into the state.
This was agreed upon when the Commissioner of Police, Kaduna Command CP Yekini A. Ayoku psc(+),mni  paid a  familiarization visit to Nigeria Customs Service Federal Operations Unit (FOU) Zone B Kadunà on Thursday May 19, 2022.  
This was made known in a statement signed by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), ASP Muhammed Jalige, dated May 19.
“To sum up the visit, both officers pledged to further foster closer ties in ridding the state of crime, through prevention of free flow of prohibited items,” it said.

Jalige said that the visit was  part of efforts to strengthen interagency collaboration with sister security agencies. 
“During the  visit on Thursday May 19, he was warmly received by the Comptroller Customs FOU Zone B, Comptroller A.B. Hamisu, in company of other senior officers of the zone.
“While at FOU Zone B, he commented Customs for the synergy between the NIgeria Police and the service,” it said.

It further revealed that Kaduna Police Commissioner equally appreciated Customs Service for their enduring interagency collaboration and synergy that has led to several arrests of suspects and the handing over to the police for investigation.
He pledged the commitment of the Nigeria Police Force in fostering a more cordial relationship with the Customs.
