ASUU Strike: LAUTECH Management Orders Students, Staff To Resume Next Thursday

 Few hours after the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) vowed that its all, members at the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso will not pull out of the ongoing strike, management of the institution on Thursday, directed its staff and students to resume next week (Thursday May 26, 2022).
LAUTECH Management in a statement by the Institution’s registrar, Dr Kayode A. Ogunleye, declared that the resumption ” is for the continuation of the academic activities for the First Semester of the 2021/2022 Academic Session.”
“Upon the directive of the Visitor to the University, the Management hereby informs all staff and students that the University will continue its academic activities for the First Semester of the 2021/2022 Academic Session on Thursday May 26, 2022″, he said.
Ogunleye  added, ” the amended Academic Calendar for the semester will soon be made available. Staff and students are hereby enjoined to abide with this directive”
“On behalf of the Acting Vice Chancellor, Prof M. O. Liasu, I welcome all students back to the campus and wish them a crisis-free semester.”
New Nigerian recalls that the Ibadan zone ASUU  on Wednesdayinsisted that LAUTECH chapter of the union will not pull out from the ongoing strike action embarked on by the union.
