Plateau Lawmaker Condemns Renewed Attacks, Killing Of Six   Constituents

The member representing Jos South/Jos East in the House of Representatives,  Hon. Dachung Musa Bagos has said that he is disheartened about renewed attacks on communities in Plateau State. 

He described as sad, a  night  attack where six people were killed at mining spot in Farinlamba Turu, Jos South Local Government Area of Plateau State

The lawmaker who is also the Deputy Chairman House Committee on Anti-corruption said that he is disturbed about the attacks and expressed sadness that attackers were said to be heading to Farinlamba where the population of people is high, saying ii is very unfortunate for the miners who became victims before reaching their target.

He wondered how criminals  beat security agents, perpetrate these heinous acts and vanish into thin air without resistance.

The Federal lawmaker disclosed the names of those killed to include, Ishaya David 25 years from, Tana, Paul Adamu from Dangyuruk 23 years,  Bitrus Mancha 43 years from Dantou,  Davou Boyi 40 years from Dawurum,  Joseph John 39 years from Dawurum,  and  Timothy Peter 35 years from Dawurum, all in Turu and Riyom 

The member  said he finds such absurdity ridiculous, especially that the attacks were carried out against innocent citizens of the state.

The member is  calling on the  security agencies as a matter of urgency, to come to the aid of the hapless citizens and provide them with security.

The member therefore, called on all relevant authorities to wake up and protect the lives and property of Nigerians as its the minimum requirement from the government.

The member further called on citizens in those areas to be law abiding and restrain from taking laws into their hands but be vigilant at all times.

He also enjoined them to keep safe; observe the social distancing policy of the government and sanitize their hands always.
