The Adagwom of Jos Izere Chiefdom, Emmanuel Ajik has advised Muslims and Christians to celebrate every festivity together in order to engender peace and development.

The royal father gave the advice when he received a group of Muslim community from Jos Izere Chiefdom on a Sallah homage at his palace in Jos.

Muslims in Jos had recently joined their counterparts the world over to celebrate the Eid-el-Fitr including those in Izere in chiefdom.

It was in view of  the  celebration, that the Muslim Ummah in the  area, paid  homage to the Izere paramount ruler through a delegation led by Muhammadu Almahu to show appreciation to the royal father for support during their Ramadan fast.

He said the Muslim community has been enjoying good working relationship with the Ada Gwom Izere Jos.

He said the homage was also to register their loyalty and support to the monarch considering the vital role being played by the traditional rulers in ensuring peaceful coexistence.

Almahu used the opportunity and listed as some of the challenges being faced by the community to include lack of water, poor road network, and unemployment by their youth.

Other stakeholders on the delegation also took time to eulogise  the Royal father for carrying everyone along irrespective of religion, or tribal affiliation.

Responding, the Ada Gwom described the visit as apt, considering the peace being experienced in the state.

The royal father commended the Muslim Ummah for conducting themselves peacefully during and after the celebration.

He assured them that all their grievances would be forwarded to the appropriate authorities for proper action.

The Sallah homage featured presentation of Kolanuts to the Muslims Ummah in Jos Izere chiefdom.
