“Customs retain female trophy

Team Omiguard dusted off defending champions, Kada in two straight sets to emerge champions of the third edition, President Beach Volleyball Championship, which ended at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium, Kaduna on Tuesday night.
For their efforts, they smiled to the banks with  150,000 cash prize, a giant trophy and ball.
Runners up, KADA Kings received 120,000 cash, and a silver trophy.
Nigeria Immigration Services settled for the bronze and smiled away with 100,000 Naira cash and a trophy.
In the female category, powerhouse, NIgeria Customs for the third consecutive time, stole the show.


They beat Adamawa Adamawa State by two straight set, a victory that saw the duo share the 150,000 Naira prize  money. They also got a bonus of a golden trophy and a ball.
The second placed Adamawa ladies, were consoles by the 120,000 cash and trophy they received.
Third placed Female NIgeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) also got a trophy and 100,000 Naira.

In the U-19 boys category, hosts KADA Kings grabbed the top cash prize of  120,000 Naira after beating Borno State who settled for 100,000 cash, while Nile University Abuja finished third and carted away 80,000 Naira. All top three teams were presented trophies respectively, while the King’s got a ball for finishing top.

In the U-19 girls category, Rubicon stole the show and smiled to the banks with 120,000 Naira and the golden trophy in their kitty, as well as a ball.
Runners-up, Pro Spikers got 100,000 Naira and the silver trophy, while third placed KADA Princess received 80,000.
