Kaduna: Nuhu Bamalli Polytechnic Matriculates 5,795 Students

Nuhu Bamalli Polytechnic Zaria has matriculated 5,795 students for 2016/2017 academic session.

The administrator of the Institute, Professor Shehu Dalhatu disclosed this at the matriculation ceremony held at the main campus of the institute on Thursday.

Professor Dalhatu said the Institute has been growing from strength to strength since its inception from 260 members to 1,056 as at 31st January, 2017.

  According to him, the steady progress being achieved is as a result of the collective output of the hardworking staff and disciplined students in addition to the financial support from Kaduna State Government whom resolved to turn the polytechnic into a centre of excellence and second to none among the existing polytechnics in the country.

  The administrator acknowledged the support and contribution made by the TETFUND to the institute in the provision of infrastructural facilities, teaching equipments and training of staff.

  He hoped that, the current record of uninterrupted academic calendar will continue to be maintained for the success recorded to remain.

Professor Dalhatu advised both new and continuing students to concentrate on their studies and shun all ices that of distracting their studies and attention.

A total of 26.325 applications were received and 17,125 were given addmissio but only 5,795 registered.

Earlier in his address the chairman of the occasion and former Rector of the Polytechnic Alhaji Suleiman Aliyu advised the matriculating students to adhere to the culture of learning and character while staying in the school.

He advised the continuing students to maintain their determination on focusing of what they are in the school that is their academic work.

Alhaji Suleiman congratulated the entire polytechnic community for their total commitment and dedication towards the progress and development of the institution.
