Zango Kataf: Bandits  Kill Six, Injure Four In Fresh Attack

Suspected bandits on Tuesday night, attacked and killed about six persons and injured four others at Takkanai Village in Atyap Chiefdom, Zango Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
A source told New Nigerian that the attackers came in large numbers  some few minutes after pm and carried out the nefarious act.
According to the source, “The attackers came and carried out their barbaric act by descending on innocent souls, killing six persons and four others sustained various degrees of injuries and left the village.”
Another source who spoke to New Nigerian also confirmed the number of those killed and injured and said, “As l am talking to you, we are having a meeting with the Sector Commander of Operation Safe Haven to extensively discuss the issue with a view to finding a possible solution of maintaining peace in the area and by extension, the state and the country.”
He added that lives cannot continue to be wasted by attacking and killing as well as destroying farmlands and other property, saying, “We truly need to come to our senses and do what is good for ourselves to forge forward as a people for the overall development of humanity.”
He called on Governor Uba Sani to do all he can to unearth the perpetrators of the killings that have been happening in Atyap land and Southern Kaduna, with a view to arriving at a workable solution for the interest of all.
The Police Public Relations Officer could not be reached to confirm the incident when calls were put to his phone, up to the time of filing this report.
