YSFON/RAMAT CUP: Kano, Ogun, Sokoto, Kastina Others In Quarter Finals

Actions continue in the ongoing YSFON organized soccer championship for Late General Murtala Mohammed Ramat, Cup for U-16, Boys in Kano with Quarterfinal matches to be decided tomorrow (Thursday) at the Pillars township stadium Sabo Gari, Kano State.

The tournament which served off last Sunday with a total of 22 teams from across 22 states has produced Quarter finalists in states like Kano, Ogun, Kogi, Kastina, Sokoto,Taraba, Kaduna and JIGAWA.

All the Quarter finalists will be battling for the semi final tickets respectively.

According to the pairing by the Organizing Committee of YSFON all Quarter matches will be decided tomorrow (Thursday) as Host State Kano Pillars slug it out with their kinsmen from Kastina State. While, Kogi confronts Sokoto State, Ogun trade tackles against Kaduna and the last Quarter match of the day is between Taraba & Jigawa state. After which the semi final matches comes up on Friday, 17/02/2017 at the same venue.

Speaking on the tournament after watching few of the preliminary matches decided, National President, YSFON who also double as the commissioner for Agriculture in Kano Sate, Dr. Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna, has commended the large turn out of the teams saying this will encourage more and better sponsors in subsequent progrmmes of the Federation. He did commend the quality and standard of the football by all the participating teams urging them to keep the tempo on till the grand finale come Saturday.
