The Yobe State All progressives Congress (APC) on Thursday, received over 3,500 members of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who decamped to the party.
When receiving the decampees in Damaturu, the state chairman of APC, Alhaji Mohammed Gadaka, said that, the decampees would be accorded equal rights with the old members, as APC believes in one united Nigeria unlike NNPP and PDP.
Muhammad Gadaka assured the defectors that they would carry them along in all party activities in the state and the country at large.
He also called on the others who are willing to decamp to do so, “as it is a known fact that Yobe is an APC state. Since the start of recent democracy in 1999.”

The chairman further said that no party can stand the chance to beat APC in any elections, adding that the state government is aligning with the hopes and aspirations of the masses by the will of Allah.
Gadaka congratulated the defectors and advised them to rally round the manifesto, policies and programmes of the present administration in the state.
Among the defectors are, Honourable Alhaji Umar Ali, the 2023 governorship aspirant of NNPP, Hajiya Tasallah Mai Jama’a, PDP coordinator Yobe North senatorial district, as well as Goni Abdullahi Baban Gomna of NNPP from Nguru Local Government Area.
