Police Storms Kaduna Forest, Rescues 17-yr Old Kidnapped Victim

The operatives of the Nigeria Police Force, Kaduna State Command on Saturday, stormed a forest where bandits were operating and rescued a 17-year old kidnap victim on Saturday.
This was made known in a statement signed by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO),  ASP Muhammed Jalige, made available to newsmen on Sunday December 5, 2021.

“On the 4th December, 2021 at about 1400hrs the Operatives of the Command while on routine patrol around Sabon Birnin Daji forest, intercepted sounds of sporadic gunshot coming through the forest and decided to courageously cum forcefully find out what could be responsible for such act.
“While on the mission, the Operatives stormed a kidnappers den where a fierce exchange of fire ensued which resulted in the rescue of one Sani Adamu m 17yrs of old Sabon Gida airport while the bandits escaped with varying bullet wounds,” it said. 
According to the statement, the said victim was immediately taken to Kutungare primary healthcare center for medical attention.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the victim was abducted while working on a rice farm around Afaka village in Kaduna. 
Effort is however being intensified to ensure that the vicinity is thoroughly combed for a possible rescue of more victims, if any; and rid the area of these criminal elements.
The Command is called on the public not to deter by these isolated incidences and to report any kidnap incident recorded within their areas so that the authority will act upon promptly.
