Police Command has commenced investigations into the killing of a daughter of former Iyalode of Ibadanland , Alhaja Fatima Awolesu on Wednesday by unknown assailants.
According to the Police Command, Alhaja Awolesu, preliminary investigations revealed that the deceased was attacked at her Bashorun residence by unknown assailants who also inflicted bodily wounds on her.
Oyo state Police Command Public Relations Officer (PPRO) SP Adewale Osifeso said ” Crime Scene Investigators have been immediately deployed to Crime Scene for detailed forensic processes and thorough investigations.
SP Osifeso stressed, “meanwhile, the body of the deceased has been deposited at the State Morgue”, adding, ” updates regarding the incident and investigations would be made available in due course”.
