The Olubadan-in- council on Thursday,
endorsed the Otun Olubadan of Ibadaland, High Chief Senator Lekan Balogun as the next Olubadan of Ibadanland.
New Nigerian learnt that unlike the previous meetings of the Ibadan kingmakers, the Thursday meeting was attended by all the members of the council including the Osi Olubadan, High Chief Rashidi Ladoja.
Sources close to the meeting hinted that the final endorsement of the new Olubadan of Ibadanvland was arrived at during the meeting held at the residence of Balogun of Ibadanland, High Chief Owolabi Olakuleyin.
Our sources stressed that the meeting was moderated by the Oyo state government through its representative, the Director of Admin and General Services of Ibadan South East local government.
According to the sources, the meeting was attended by the Otun Ibadan High Chief Lekan Balogun (Olubadan elect), Balogun of Ibadanland High Chief Owolabi Olakuleyin, Osi Olubadan High Chief Rasidi Ladoja, Otun Balogun of Ibadanland High Chief Tajudeen Ajibola,
Others are High Chief Eddy Oyewole, Osi Balogun of Ibadanland High Chief Lateef Gbadamosi Adebimpe, Ashipa Balogun of Ibadanland High Chief kolawole Adegbola, and Ekerin Balogun of Ibadanland High Chief Dada Ishioye.
