He is popularly known as Ochui, but to some, he is known as Francis – or ‘Frank’. In cutting to the chase, his name is Ochui, Agbo Ochui.
He is single, from Bayobri Community – Ukpe Ward in Obudu Local Government Area of Cross River State.
Ochui holds a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) Degree in Political Science from the Prestigious University of Calabar, Calabar.
Ochui is a very seasoned and born leader whose leadership drive propelled him to enrol for the above course.
He began his leadership career during his undergraduate studies in the University where he held several leadership positions including: Senator representing the good people of Obudu in the National Association of Cross River State Students, World Wide (NACRISS -WW) 7th Parliament; President, National Association of Obudu Students, amongst others.
Ochui Agbor formally joined partisan politics in 2011 when it became necessary to link his purpose, calling and assignment on earth with societal and political relevance.
As a Political Scientist, Ochui has made notable contributions to his society, his phenomenal political strategies has lifted him to the rank of ‘Stakeholder’, National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) Cross River State chapter.
As a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Ochui is currently serving as the Local Government Coordinator, APC National Youth Vanguard.
In a bid to support the Governor and Government of Cross River State in achieving the goal of effective leadership and youths inclusiveness, he founded a group called ‘Cross River State Youths for Good Governance’.
In 2019, this group played a pivotal role in the reemergence of our very distinguished and highly cerebral Governor (Prof.) Ben Ayade – the Digital Governor, a body he is administering till date.
His participation and eminent contribution to the growth and development of his society endeared him to the governor of his State – Cross River, His Excellency, Sen. Prof. (Barr.) Ben Ayade to appoint him as his kitchen Cabinet Member; “Special Assistant, Technical” an appointment he holds till date.
Today, Ochui Agbor Ochui is contesting for the position of the National Youth Leader of the mighty and ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) Party in the forthcoming National Convention slated for Saturday, 26th February, 2022.
As a leader who has the mandate and goodwill of the people, he is ready, capable and available to lead the Youths of this great party to an echelon of great and enviable success.
His wealth of experience, educational background, Youth orientated nature, amongst others, has prepared him for the onerous task ahead which he is fully set to give it his all.
He is capable of driving a youth oriented vision for a political party as strategic as the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), and to lead the Nigerian Youth, by extension, to attain the growth we all desire.
He is a great leader who does not only set out to be a leader, but sets out to make a difference. I am positive that Ochui will do the following if given the opportunity:
1. Influence majority of the Youths in other political parties into the APC;2. Ensure that Youths are strategically positioned in key leadership positions across the Nation;3. Run a gender friendly administration without any form of discrimination;4. Influence the setting up of Skills Acquisition Centres strictly for Youths across the country, etc.
He is privileged and blessed to have His Excellency, Sen. (Prof.) Ben and wife, First Lady (Dr.) Linda Ayade as his leadership and political mentors, including his immediate Boss, Arc. Eric Akpo, Chief Martin Orim, Chief of Staff to Governor Ayade and High Chief Tony Undiandeye
Ochui is known for Leadership cum politics; I believe strongly that he is the best man for this job as he is evidently a square peg in a square hole.
