The tenure of the current Registrar of Nasarawa State University, Keffi, Alhaji Bala Isyaka Ahmed Rex, has been extended by additional five years.
The Governing Council of the University said the appointment will take effect from March 1st, 2022.
Reacting to his reappointment Wednesday, in Keffi, the 60-year-old Registrar vowed to justify the confidence reposed in him by the council.
Ahmed said he was highly humbled by the extension of his appointment.
“Whatever efforts I have put in to enable the institution achieve some level of progress should be attributed to the high quality of advice and cooperation from the staff and students of the University,” he added.
Born in 1962, Ahmed was first appointed as substantive Registrar in 2017.
Ahmed who hails from Karu Local Government Area of the state holds Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) in Sociology from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria (1984). He graduated from Nasarawa State University, Keffi with Masters in Public Administration (MPA).
He is currently a PhD student at Nasarawa State University, Keffi.
