Fifty-eight (58) suspected drug users have been apprehended by National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) in Kano State at the Sani Abacha Stadium and recovered illicit substances
The newly launched “Operation Hana Maye” by the operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency resulted in the arrest followed a raid conducted aimed at combating drug trafficking and abuse in the state.
Sadiq Muhammad Maigatari, the command’s spokesman, said, “As part of the operation, a successful raid was conducted at the Sani Abacha Stadium, resulting in the arrest of 58 suspects and the recovery of various illicit substances.”
He further explained that the raid was carried out in the evening hours of Wednesday January 17, 2024, to ensure maximum effectiveness and minimise any potential resistance.
