Principal Kingmaker of Katsina Emirate Council, Kauran Katsina and District head of Rimi, Alhaji Nuhu Abdulkadir is dead.
Aged 80, Kauran Katsina, Alhaji Nuhu Abdulkadir died on Tuesday at his residence in Rimi after an illness.
Governor Aminu Bello Masari was amongst hundreds of personalities that attended his funeral right.
The funeral rites attracted prominent personalities including traditional rulers, Ulamas, public servants and politicians as well as sympathizers.
Chief Imam of Katsina Central mosque Imam Gambo Mustapha led the funeral prayers held at the Palace of the Kauran Katsina, Alhaji Nuhu Abdulkadir before laid to rest in a cemetery set for the burial of District heads at the royal compound.
Late Kauran Katsina Nuhu Abdulkadir who was born in 1942 succeeded his late father Kauran Katsina Abdulkadir in 1982.
Late Kauran Katsina had been on the throne for 40 years.
