Makarfi LG  Boss Tasks Wealthy Individuals To Assist  Less Privileged

Makarfi Local Government Council Chairman, Engineer Kabiru Mu’azu Meyere, has charged wealthy people in the community to always assist the needy in order to have a an easy livelihood particularly in this period of Ramadan fasting.

Represented by the Council Secretary, Barrister Abdulhadi Abdullahi Makarfi who doubles as Chairman of the Committee in charge of Palliatives Support to Orphans, organized by the People Advocative forum, held at Makarfi.

Engineer Mu’azu Meyere pointed out that many people have been affected by the economic crisis and high inflation, which is currently biting harder in the country are in need of urgent assistance hence the desired for collective efforts to alleviate the current economic hardship.

In their remarks on behalf of the philanthropists,  Alhaji Garba Mai Kwai, Mohammed Jumare Sada, Kabir Abdullahi Sada, commended the  initiative by the organisers and urged governments and political office holders to emulate the forum by enrolling orphans into skills acquisition training and Qur’anic schools to prevent them from criminal activities. 

Also speaking on the religious perspective the Chief Imam’s of Tashar Yari (JIBWIS) Mosque, Sheikh Surajo Mujistapha and head of Da’awa Committee, Yakubu Isah, advised wealthy individuals not to relent on their efforts in feeding and providing foodstuff to needy orphans in order to reduce high rate of poverty and suffering among residents, devoid of nepotism.

They called on people to always  remain  obedient to Almighty Allah and to give out zakkat as one of the five pillars of Islam as revealed in the holy Qur’an.

The Secretary General of the forum,  Adamu Mohammed Makarfi, and acting Chairman,  Kaseem Gambo, appreciated the elders and elite for their tirelessly efforts and support.

They prayed for Almighty Allah’s guidance and protection from evil influences and also urged all stakeholders to put hands on deck in redoubling their usual commitment towards this direction.

On his part, the District Head of Makarfi, Alhaji Adamu Abdullahi Sulukin Zazzau, represented by Alhaji Umar Abdullahi, expressed  delight to  Makarfi People Advocative Forum for the  gesture.

He appealed to the organising committee and stakeholders, wealthy individuals and  government officials to invest into orphans fund to address current hardship in support  of government’s efforts in the country.
