Our correspondent gathered that he was aporehended at about 11.00pm on Thursday by a patrol team, while vandalising the iron rods on top of the bridge.

It was reliably gathered that operational tools which include a sledge hammer and shape knife were recoverd from him.

As learnt, he confessed to the crime, even as he disclosed that he has vandalised iron rods on the bridge thrice  and other public installations before his arrest.

The suspect, who disclosed that he lives in Apapa area of the state, however declined to name other members of his gang.

Efforts to get the comment of the Spokesperson of the Lagos State Police Command SP Benjamin Hundeyin proved abortive as at time of filing the report.
