Kano Clash: Residents Commend Security, Bichi Council Chairman On Timely Intervention

As a result of a clash that occurred  on Friday  during a football match between  Bankaura and Saye teams, normal businesses have resumed in the two warring towns as monitored by our correspondent.
As at the time of filling this report, our correspondent reported that although there was heavy presence of security agencies around the two towns,  people  have continued  their normal activities after the clash which left many people injured.
Malam Yusuf Saye, a resident  of Saye Town told New Nigerian  that no live was lost and everything is in control, following the prompt intervention of the security agencies in the area to prevent counter attacks from both sides, while the community leaders were seen busy reconciling the two sides.
Speaking to our correspondent, a retired civil servant, Malam Gambo Boza Saye said that the efforts of Bichi Local Government Council chairman, Dr. Yusuf Mohammed Sabo  to ensure that peace reigns in the area should be commended.
 Similarly at Bankaura Town,  Malam Adamu Bankaura said that authorities should take necessary action against violence during football matches.
He thanked Bichi Council chairman, the security agencies, traditional rulers and all those who provided  helping hands in the restoration of peace and unity in the area.
People who were interviewed by our correspondent, suggested that  strong measures should be taken to ensure that clashes in football become history in the area and other places that are having rivalry because sporting competitions are being organised to promote unity and peace.
