Kano State House of Assembly has directed for the immediate stoppage of any physical structure in the name of corner shops and any other, within the premises of Juma’at Mosque, in Fagge.
Directive was given at its plenary session on Tuesday, presided by the Speaker, Engineer Hamisu Ibrahim Chidari.
This followed a motion of matters of urgent public interests, moved by a member representing Dala Constituency, Lawan Hussaini Chediyar’Yan Gurasa, calling on the House to order for the immediate stoppage of any physical structures within the perimeter walls of the mosque.
He expressed sadness over the construction of corner shops on the premises of the mosque and the need to stop it in the interest of the public.
