How Fulani Herdsmen Killed SARS Commander, One Other In

Uneasy calm is now reigning in Saki area of Oyo State following the killing of a  SARS Commander said to be an Assistant Superintendent of Police and  one other person by suspected Fulani herdsmen .

New Nigerian gathered that the SARS  area commander identified as Sheu and one other met their untimely death in a village near Ogboro-Agbone road, Saki area of Oyo State.

Our correspondent learnt that trouble started when men of the Nigeria Police force arrived the village to investigate a criminal case  against one of the herdsmen which later turned to violence.

It was learnt that all efforts by the policemen at preventing the herdsmen from stopping their investigations in the villages proved abortive as the herdsmen rathered mobilised their cows towards forcefully  chasing away the policemen from the village

Sources said it was at this juncture that an  informant said to have led the Police team to the village was  attacked and killed while the leader of the police team popularly called Sheu was also matcheted to death by the herdsmen

Others including a police officer simply identified as  Ademola that  escaped with injuries were later rushed to  Baptist Medical Centre, in Saki East Local government area where they are now receiving treatment

Conforming the story to the New Nigerian, the Oyo State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP Adekunle Ajisebutu said already  four suspects are Police net in connection with the attack and the killing of the policemen and that investigation is on going on the attack and killing of the policemen by the herdsmen.
