Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya (Dan Majen Gombe) has said that he received with sadness, the news of the demise of former Secretary General of the Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA), Rev. Dr. Simon Ibrahim whose sad event occurred on Wednesday March 2, 2022.
This was expressed in a statement signed by the Director-General (Press Affairs) Government House Gombe, Ismaila Uba Misilli, dated Thursday March 3, 2022.
In a condolence message, Governor Inuwa described the late Rev. Dr. Simon Ibrahim as a highly reputable preacher, experienced administrator and resourceful teacher and preacher of the gospel who gave much of his time for the progress and development of the Church, Gombe State and Nigeria.
He described his death as a huge loss, not only to his immediate family or the Tangale community but the state and the nation in general
The Governor, on behalf of the government and people of Gombe State, conveyed his heartfelt sympathies to the family, relations and associates of the deceased, the entire people of Billiri Local Government Area as well as the membership of ECWA in which deceased served in various capacities before his death.
Governor Inuwa Yahaya prayed God to grant the deceased eternal rest and give his family the fortitude to bear the great loss.
