Gov Makinde To Commission N100m Building Donated To IGC By Golfer, Olatunji SAN

The Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engineer Seyi Makinde is expected to commission  the newly built ultra-modern administrative building and our modernised Dapo Falase Bar and the newly established Ola Ibironke VIP Lounge, fitted with state-of-the-art facilities on May 13 and 14, 2022.
These facilities which were donated by a golfer, Barrister Abiodun Olatunji SAN to the prestigious Ibadan Golf Club (IGC) is valued at one hundred million Naira, is the biggest infrastructure in the Nigeria’s golfing circle to be donated by an individual according to the Captain of IGC, Tunji Oladosu.
The commissioning which expected to be an assemblage of crème de la crème of the society will also feature a Pro-Am golf tournament according to the committee headed by former captain of the club, Yomi Salami, as respected royal fathers and distinguished personalities in the golfing family in Nigeria will grace the event.
The event will commence on the 11th May with Caddies tournament while professionals will take to course on 12th and the amateur golfers with higher numbers of participants will play on 13th and 14th may during a tournament designed by the committee to commemorate the commissioning.
It will be recalled that the newly built administrative building project was initiated by the late captain of IGC; Ola Ibironke who passed away on Sunday, September 12 within the IGC arena after a training session, hence the newly established VIP Lounge fitted with state of the art facilities was named after him.
