Value Seeds Limited has commissioned a genetic Laboratory in Zaria with the aim of enhancing food production in the country.
Speaking at the flag off ceremony, the president of the company, Sir. George Zangir said that the aim of the gesture is to enhance food production in Nigeria..
Zangir said the genetic laboratory will serve as a research and training facility so that farmers will meet their aspirations.
He noted that the genetic laboratory will help immensely in ensuring up to date seeds are provided for enhanced food production.
Earlier, the acting Director General National Seeds Council of Nigeria, Dr. Khalid Ishiaku commended the company for establishing the laboratory.
Also in her remarks, the Vice President Value Seeds Limited, Cassandra George said the laboratory is the first of its kind in West African Sub region.
She reassured the commitment of the company in providing modern seeds to farmers
