Federal College of Education (FCE), Zaria has introduced computer based examination to students in its efforts to digitalize learning process in the college.
The provost of the College, Dr. Ango Abdullahi Ladan who made this known at the 2017/2018 Matriculation Ceremony of the NCE I Regular held at the Multi-purpose sports complex.
He said, this landmark achievement will be applied in the on-coming NCE I First Semester examination and immediately after a student have finished his examinations he will see his result without waiting for Placement on the notice board.
Dr. Ladan urged the students to devote their time, energy and commitment to study their books and learn as fast as possible to become great teachers.
According to him, the college expectation is to see the students graduating as teacher s versed in best techniques of the fundamental of education that would enlace their proficiencies and knowledge in education delivery to liberate Nigeria from further slide in these sector.
The provost further stated that, the college has a mumber of seasoned academicians to groom their students to be able to meet up with challenges and compete satisfactorily where they may find themselves.
He warned that the college abhors any form of display of anti-social behaviors, especially as it concerns examination malpractice, indecent dressing and unlawful association and drug abuse gangs.
He also advised the students to consider themselves lucky for gaining admission into the college since many had applied but few were admitted.
The newly admitted students for the 2017/2018 academic session are 5,247 which corresponds with the quota approved by the National Commission for Colleges of Education (NCCE)
