Ex Governor Yero Tasks Religious Leaders On Peace

Former Governor of Kaduna State, Alh. Mukhtar Ramalan Yero has tasked religious leaders in the country to preach peace, love and unity amongst their followers.
He made the call at the Thanksgiving Service in honour of Dr. Ali Buba Lamido Archbishop of Kaduna Ecclesiastical Province and Dean, Church of Nigeria Anglican Communion for his new position held at Wusasa, Zaria.
Ramalan Yero said what Nigeria needed most at the moment was peace and unity among different faithful and tribes.
According to him, this can only be achieved if religious leaders accept to preach peace and unity among Nigerians.
The former Governor congratulated Dr. Lamido for his elevation to the rank of Archbishop and prayed to God to guide him and make him successful.
In his speech, the Archbishop, Ali Buba Lamido said in the last 20 years of his stay in Zaria, he has received  support and cooperation from the members of the Communion and the community.
Lamido said he was happy for his success and achievements as a priest and a Christian who is devoted in teaching the word of Jesus.
He said despite his Muslim background,  he later chose to be a Christian through the influence of his aunty and at the moment, more than half of their family are Christians..
