*Oyo NSCDC Commandant warns rapists

The Nigeria security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Oyo State command has arraigned
a 24-year old man, Oriyomi Abidemi for allegedly raping a 17 years old lady in Ibadan.
Abidemi was arraigned before an Oyo state Family Court 2 on Friday for allegedly raping the 17years old lady identified as Waheed Rokibat on December 4, last year along Oyo Road besides one bush near Kola Daisi University.
In the charge number MI/FC/6C brought against Abidemi before the court by the NSCDC, the suspect was accused of committing an offence contrary to section 34(1) and punishable under section 34(2) of the Oyo state child right law 2006.
Magistrate P.O Adetuyibi after listening to the charge ordered that Abidemi be remanded at Abolongo Correctional facility in Oyo town while the case was adjourned till 3rd march 2022 Speaking on the incident, the Commandant, Oyo state NSCDC command CC Michael Akintayo Adaralewa warned against raping of minor in and across Oyo state.
CC Adaralewa said Abidemi was charged to court after the completion of investigation by the Anti-Human trafficking and children protection unit of the command to the offence of rape, adding that those engaged in raping minor should desist from such act or face wrath of law.
