Six Persons Killed, Eight Injured In Fresh Kaduna Attack

About six people have been said to have killed and eight others sustained various degrees of injuries by suspected unknown gunmen in Ambe community in Sanga Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

A statement issued by Daniel Amos, member, House of Representatives,
Jema’a/Sanga Federal Constituency in the National Assembly said the incident took place in the early hours of Monday, when the invaders stormed the community in their large numbers shooting sporadically.

He lamented, “I am saddened by the news of the late night attack on the peaceful Ambe community in Sanga Local Government Area of Kaduna State. According to reports reaching me, the brutal attack by suspected bandits claimed the lives of six innocent people, while eight others sustained injuries and are currently receiving medical treatment.

“I strongly condemn this heinous act, which is another attempt to destabilize the peace and security in my constituency and our dear state. It is unacceptable that our people cannot live in peace without fear of being attacked by these criminal elements.”

Daniel called call on all residents of Sanga local government area to remain calm and peaceful, azsuring them that efforts are made towards finding a lasting solution to the insecurity in the area.

“We must continue to promote peaceful coexistence among our diverse communities, irrespective of our differences,” he emphasized.

He also called on the security agencies to act swiftly to apprehend the perpetrators of the evil act and bring them to justice, saying that the safety of the people must remain a top priority and cannot allow the criminals to continue to operate with impunity.

“As your representative in the National Assembly, I assure you that I will continue to do my best to attract development to our constituency, while working with relevant stakeholders to ensure the safety of our people,” he assured.

He extended his heartfelt condolences to the families of those who lost their loved ones, Arak chiefdom, Sanga Local Government and the Government of Kaduna State and prayed for speedy recovery of those who sustained injuries.

The spokesman of the Kaduna state police Command, Mansur Hassan could not be reached as of the time of filing the report.
