Maigodiya Center for Youth Development (MCYD), a Non Governmental Organization on Friday, donated assorted textbooks and instrumental materials to Al Imam Nursery, Primary and Secondary Schools in Jalingo to enhance teaching and learning.
Malam Aliyu Tukur, the Executive Director (ED) of MCYD, while making the donation, noted that the books were packaged to help in enhancing effective teaching and learning for a better future.
According to him, a sound foundation in education at the basic level was needed to achieve the desired standard where quality professionals would be produced in  the country.
Represented by Malam Aminu Usman, the MCYD Programmes Manager, Tukur urged the management to put the textbooks to judicious use for the benefit of the society.
He noted that MCYD has been largely intervening in health sector and was now out to contribute its quota to enhance educational development for a better Nigeria.
“We are here to donate textbooks and instrumental materials to the schools to enhance effective teaching and learning for a better society.
“It is MCYD’s believe that a sound background by children at the basic education would change the fortune of education sector for a better country,” he said.
Ustaz Haroun Abdulrazaq, the Coordinator of the schools expressed delight over the donation, saying it was amazing.
While pledging  that the management would  ensure the books were put to maximum use to improve teaching and learning, Abdulrazaq commended MCYD for the kind gesture.
