Better Days Await Weightlifting In Lagos

Brighter days are ahead for weightlifting in Lagos State as Fearless Energy Drink donated equipment to the Lagos State weightlifting Association.
Speaking during the presentation of the equipment to the Lagos State Weightlifting Association, web developer, Fearless Energy Drink, Olawale Odenusi said the gesture is  in line with the quest to improve the profile of weightlifting in Nigeria and Lagos state  
Wale Odenusi  stated that they would continue to support the association in any way they can to ensure Weightlifting gets to an appreciable level in the state 
” This is part of our corporate social responsibility, we will continue to support the association owing to the fact that Weightlifting has won laurels for the country at major competitions” he said 
Chairman Lagos State Weightlifting Association Kunle Komolafe  thanked the organisation for their generosity toward the state while promising that the equipment would be well utilized to groom world beaters in the sport.
Kunle Komolafe stated that the gesture  would help to popularize the sport as well as encourage more Athletes  to take up Weightlifting which can be used to engage the minds of youths positively
” We appreciate what Fearless has done for the state and will make judicious use of the equipment while we call on other corporate bodies should join forces with the Association to take Weightlifting to a better place in the state ” he said 
He however appealed to the organization to help rehabilitate their Weightlifting gym  hall at the Rowe Park sports center Yaba  in order to inspire more athletes and create an enabling environment for the sport to thrive in Lagos state.
Some of the state Weightlifters commended the support while calling for more of such from other corporate bodies.
The equipment donated include Adjustable Weight Bench (B10- Holman), Weight Barbell Set 50KG and Scale  (Height & Weight)
The presentation ceremony  was attended by management of the Lagos State Sports Commission and board members of the Lagos State Weightlifting Association .
