Security operatives of the Bauchi Police Command have in the efforts to stem the menace of banditry in the state, neutralized 12 bandits/kidnappers including their kingpin, Madaki Mansur who has been terrorizing the Alkaleri Local Government Area of the state and its neighbouring states of Gombe, Taraba and Plateau states.
The Command Public Relations Officer, SP Ahmed Mohammed Wakil said in Bauchi Monday that, “On the 19th December 2022 at about 0230hrs a Joint Operation of security operatives engaged suspected bandits/kidnappers in four different hideouts; Mansur, Digare, Gwana and Dajin Madam in Alkaleri forest”.
SP Wakil said that as a result of hot exchange of superior fire-power by the Bauchi Police Command operatives, it left twelve (12) of the kidnappers neutralized while others were subdued, dislodged, and scampered in disarray into the nearby bushes with possible gunshot wounds and abandoned their camp.
He explained that following the hot exchange of fire, weapons and operational motorcycles were recovered during the operation, saying that the command is intensifying efforts to apprehend the fleeing members of the syndicate.
