Abduction: Oyo Police Command To Fortify, Maintain Peace In IdI-Ayunre/Ibadan Axis

Oyo State Commissioner of Police, CP Ngozi Onadeko has said that the state Police Command is  committed to fortifying and maintaining peace in the IdI-Ayure/Ibadan axis of the state.
CP Onadeko stated this on Thursday while speaking at a meeting with critical stakeholders at Oluyole local Government Secretariat, Ibadan Oyo State.
The Commissioner of Police said the command will be doing this  through; increased visibility policing, deployment of more Policing assets to the jurisdiction and increasing their layers of supervision.
CP Onadeko solicited for prompt provision of credible information to the Police towards preventing  incidents of abductions from rearing its ugly head especially along the IdI-Ayure/Ibadan axis of the area by ensuring protection for the source.
She commended the sustained partnership among sister security agencies and non-state actors in ensuring peace and security in and across Oyo state.
Chairman Oluyole Local government area, Hon Olajide Popoola while speaking acknowledged the painstaking  efforts of the Oyo State Police in protecting lives and property in the area with a promise of  providing the necessary logistics for the Officers and men on duty.

The meeting was also attended by the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of Operations, DCP Waheed Ayilara, Divisional Police Officers, Royal fathers led by HRM Oba Muritala Salami.O (Alayunre of Idi-Ayunre), Alhaji Wakili Adamu (Seriki Fulani of Oja Ibadan).
