Member House of Representatives, Samaila Suleiman has declared interest to represent Kaduna North Federal Constituency on the platform of People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
Suleiman while making his decision public amidst cheers from supporters and party members, said he regretted the role he played in bringing All Progressives Congress (APC) to power, saying the ruling party in the state has impoverished people through several anti-masses policies.
He reechoed commitment to uplift the lives of his constituents whom he noted would have a better deal in welfare and infrastructural development.
The two term federal legislator stated that politics should be all about service to humanity, adding that politicians must put the interest of people first above personal advantages.
He enumerated his achievements covering virtually every sphere of human endeavor.
“I provided over 25 transformers across the 12 wards, built over 23 blocks of classrooms, installed solar street lights at several locations, installed over 15 solar powered boreholes and many more in North Federal Constituency.
” Considering the importance of education in advancing development, progress and peace of the society.
” Without the fear of hyperbolism, I shall make bold to say here that within the period of 11 years – three as Chairman of Kaduna North Local Government and 7 in the House of Representatives, I have been able to touch lives of my people in so many positive ways .
” Classes have been added, scholarships provided to learners from less privileged homes, series of medical interventions to thousands of people with one ailment or another, ” he said.
Chairman, Samaila Suleiman’s Campaign Organization, Hon. Adamu Dattijo stated that the lawmaker would add value to his new party by securing a landslide electoral victory in 2023.
Some committees inaugurated to ensuring Suleiman’s victory at the 2023 poll were; mobilization, publicity, security, enlightenment among others.
