Recently, a political pressure group in Delta State, the Movement for Stronger Delta (MSD), called on aspirants in the state, vying for political offices in 2023 to tell Deltans what they have to offer for the growth and development of the state, and take the people to that stage of their economic and social needs.

The MSD, is a group which politically is affiliated to the ruling party in the State, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), but the request, cannot be termed partisan, especially when it’s well known democratically that after elections, the winner (s) will no longer be based on party level, but the representative of the entire state or as the case maybe.

In Delta state, especially in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), there are many contenders, at the last count, about 15 of them who had picked the forms as aspirants to the office of the Governor come 2023. All, are in one way or the other doing their best to get the attention of the power brokers in the party, and having media war amongst same party aspirants. This to many analysts is shocking, because rather than use the time and resources to tell the party delegates and Deltans how they will govern the state if elected, they are exerting their energies digging information’s, mostly information which they feel damning to outwit their perceived opponents, and not tell the people while they want to govern the state.

However, in the midst of all this, there are those who are seriously working behind the scene, consulting and meeting with those that cares, and help promote their agenda to push through and win the ticket for the party. One of such person, and serious aspirant is Chief Braduce Amakazi Angozi. According to an encounter recently with a journalist in Asaba, the state capital, he said “My Wife had been wondering who this Braduce is, he is the only person with his posters in the State Capital, up to Ogwashi Uku. This posters brings him very close to the electorates.”

Going through the document for the governorship project of Chief Dr. Braduce Amakazi Angozi, you will get his direction of governance. A document which he titled “Project Team: Delta Transformation Road Map”, and giving reasons while he wants to govern the state, he stressed that he has a dream for Deltans, which can be likened to “I Have a Dream” a public speech delivered by American civil rights activist and Baptist minister, Martin Luther King Jr    during the March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom on August 28, 1963. Yes jobs and freedom, he explains how he will work towards liberating Deltans from economic woos, especially the issues of lack of jobs to employ the numerous people of working age in the state. He, from the document says he very well understands the pains of lack of job, and this he had pledged to free Deltans from the increasing menace.

Giving reasons on while he wants to govern the state, Chief Braduce Angozi stated that “Good governance, the world over is tenaciously being sought for, but where it is grossly nonexistent, the people are damned to perdition.”

He stated that “Delta State is blessed with abundant natural and human resources, and if prudently managed would attract huge prosperity to the state and Deltans.” He said the stated since its creation had been moving towards a holistic development in one way or the other, this had inspired him to add to its development.

“Because of its steady development, I am inspired to become the Executive Governor of Delta State in 2023, to contribute my quota to this development through effective technology, which I hope will be used to sustain upward development in all facets of human development.”

He pointed out that with the right mindset calibrated to make a resounding change, to prudently manage the resources of the state, to transform the infrastructure base of the state, and radically lift the massive population of the state out of excruciating poverty.

He documented that he and his team are ready to move the state in the fashion of the legendary Le Kwan Yew of Singapore, to mobilise the energetic people of the state to build a lasting regime of wealth creation, cultural and political harmony. This is the man that fits the state, after Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, who many despite the numerous criticism of his government, still earn pass marks in many areas of governance.

With the plethora of political backstabbing going on within the political circle in the state, he had not been found wanting of abusive publications or abuses, but rather working assiduously  towards building a very strong Delta State economically. He is a man who understands and feels the pains of Deltans, a man who jokes, and plays with all. A man of positive focus to deliver.

Chief Braduce Amakazi Angozi is a grassroots politician who understands the terrain, and the peculiar challenges bedeviling the state, and he had promised to harness the diverse ethnic makeup to inspire a healthy collaboration in business, and social concerns. A man who is ready to open the business space to attract huge private investments in critical areas of the economy.

This is the man Chief Braduce Amakazi Angozi, who has a dream for Deltans, to be freed and live as one. To build a strong economy. To harness the diversity of the state. While at this stage, the much this writer can say is to appeal to the conscious of the delegates across the three Senatorial District to look into their conscious and do the right thing.

As he said, “I have the experience, I have the heart for the people, I have the zeal to work things out. I have the taste and I have the foresight to pull out unimaginable things that are tough and turning them to reality.’ This is because he was there before, and he knows what to do to move the state forward. This is the RIGHT MAN FOR PDP, AND DELTA
