Zamani Foundation (ZF), has successfully concluded its annual “Restoring the Dignity of a Woman Conference” for 2023, tagged “Women in the Frontline”.

Speaking at the formal launch of the Hub, President and Founder of ZF, Amb Talatu Zamani-Henry, explained that the “Women’s hub is a one stop economic center and safe space for everyone to unwind, network, shop and get all the exclusive services for all businesses including counselling, trainings and consulting services.

“The hub is intended to advance growth, sustainability, inclusiveness, resilience, economic growth, fairness, and competitiveness for our economies.

“Through this initiative, we aim to contribute to peace, cooperation, stability, prosperity, development, and unity within our homes, kaduna, Nigeria and the world at large.

“We look forward to creating conducive environments to boost flows of commerce, access to procurement and investments amongst women economies, and to enhancing standards and access to opportunities for our workers, companies, offering guidance on how to empower women in the workplace, marketplace and community. And most especially creating actionable plans to promote gender equity/equality and women’s empowerment that are informed by real-life business practices and input gathered from across the world.

“In the long term, economic competitiveness will be largely defined by our ability to harness technology, promote innovation, participate in the digital economy, achieve peace and security, tackle the climate crisis etc in a manner that produces equitable, inclusive growth and improves socio-economic welfare for all.”

She noted that women are breaking barriers, overcoming challenges, and unleashing their full potential even in the face of struggles and conflict, adding “We are not only making a difference in our own lives but also inspiring others to do the same. Our exploits serve as a source of inspiration for future generations, reminding us all of the limitless possibilities that come with determination and hard work.

“We must acknowledge that the journey as women in the frontline is not an easy one. Despite the odds, women are forging ahead, leaving our mark, and paving the way for others to follow. Today, we honor our achievements as women and recommit ourselves to supporting our continued growth and success.

“Today, we gathered to celebrate the indomitable spirit of women who are blazing the trail in various fields – family, religion, education, health, politics, business, security, agriculture, sciences, media, mining, Technology and many others.

“The theme of this conference, ‘Women in the Frontline’, is not just a celebration of the past but also a call to action for the future. As we gather, let us reflect on the challenges faced by women in our chosen fields, and work together to find solutions that will help us to overcome the obstacles and unleash our full potentials.”
