Arewa Concerned Citizens has called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to suspend Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation Betta Edu from office just like CEO of NSIPA Halima Shehu.
The President of the Citizens, Professor Yusuf Gandu made the call in a statement made available to newsmen in Abuja.
Professor Yusuf Gandu said for transparency and accountability, since the president suspended Halima Shehu to pave away for investigation same should be applied to Minister of Humanitarian Betta Edu.
He lamented that the press release by the Minister of information and National Orientation Mohammed Idris issued yesterday about the directive of the president that a thorough and comprehensive investigation be conducted to ascertain the accuracy and validity of the reported details of the Minister is not enough, she has to be suspended.
He called on President Bola Tinubu to ensure that the Minister of Humanitarian Betta Edu is suspended to allow for proper investigation.
