Osun Govt Will Continue To Accord Traditional Institution Adequate Dignity –  Gov Adeleke

Governor Ademola Adeleke has disclosed that the present administration in Osun State will continue to accord traditional institution adequate dignity for the promotion of culture and tradition.

The governor said this in Ifewara, Atakumosa West Local Government Area of Osun State at the presentation of staff of office to Oba Adebisi Yekinni Gbolaru as Onimelu of Imelu, Ifewara and Oba Adebampe Famadewa as Alarunde of Arunde, Ifewara.

Represented by the state Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon Dosu Babatunde, Gov Adeleke said traditional rulers are the custodians of  culture and tradition.

“Traditional rulers are the custodians of our culture and tradition which I will continue to promote.If not for our monarchs, most of our culture and tradition might have gone into extinction”, he said .

Gov Adeleke added, “That is why my administration will not relent in making our fathers feel comfortable in their respective domains.”

The Adimula of Ifewara land, Oba Adeniyi Owolola who crowned the two traditional rulers in his palace, charged them to use their new positions to bring developmental improvement to their domains. 

Oba Owolola also advised the people of Onimelu and Alarunde to support their newly installed traditional rulers.
