The All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate in the upcoming election, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu has promised to establish a gold refinery in Zamfara State if elected.
This was made known by the Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Shettima North West APC Presidential campaign Coordinator and also the Governor of Zamfara State, Bello Muhammad Matawalle, while fielding questions from newsmen at his residencd in Maradun Town, the headquarters of Maradun Local Government Area of Zamfara State on Friday.
According to him, Zamfara is blessed with abundant mineral resources, stressing that part of the agreement made between him and Sen. Bola Ahmed Tinubu is to bring to an end of the lingering insecurity and establishing a gold refinery in the state for the betterment of the state and country at large, if given the mandate.
“I discussed extensively with our presidential candidate, Sen. Bola Ahmed Tinubu on how to address the issue of insecurity, reinvigorating of the state’s economy and he promised to establish a gold refinery in the state and address insecurity within a short period of time if he becomes president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in the forthcoming general election under APC,” Matawalle revealed.
He expressed hope that government under Tinubu will salvage not only Zamfara State from the insecurity, but the entire country, if given chance to rule the nation.
He said Tinubu personally informed him what he is planning for Zamfara if elected, noting that the revelation by Tinubu has become a renewed hope for Zamfara teeming populace.
On the candidature of Sen. Bola Tinubu, Matawalle said, the mass campaign rally by Tinubu in Kano and Kaduna is a clear indication that he will be the next president of the country under APC.
“With the massive turnout of supporters during the Tinubu and Shettima campaign rally in Kano and Kaduna, it manifests that Tinubu will win the forthcoming presidential election with overwhelming majority God willing,” Matawalle stated.
According to him, all the Northern states governors in their meeting, agreed that power must be shifted to the South, thereby unanimously endorsing Sen. Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Kashim Shettima as their candidate, considering their vast political experience, which can save the country from all it’s socioeconomic instability and sustainability of democracy.
“With the advent of Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Kashim Shettima as our APC presidential candidates, I am sure Nigeria will be greater than ever before, if elected in the next election,” Gov Matawalle assured.
He further assured that, APC governors in the North West will work in unity to ensure the success of Tinubu and all APC aspirants in the country.
