Thirteen teams have been drawn into four groups where they would slug it out in the maiden edition of the Car Dealers Peace and Unity Football Competition.

The draws which were held at the Media Centre of the Ahmadu Bello Stadium, Kaduna on Thursday, saw three teams drawn in three groups, with one group having four teams.

In Group A, ADS Motors, Dawaki Motors and YY Motors would be battling for supremacy.

Group B parades Dudu Motors, AY Motors and Bagauda Motors.

KB Lama Motors, Karamchi Motors and D Zola Motors would be playing in Group C.

The only group with four teams; Group D will feature  A.U. Motors, Gamji Motors, Classiel Motors and Bagauda Motors.

In an interview shortly after the draws,  Alhaji Safiyanu Tanimu of Dawaki Motors described the initiative as a good one which is coming at the right time.

He said he wondered why they had not thought it out until now in view of the benefits it would provide to the car dealers in Kaduna.

While fielding questions, Yusuf Dauda of Y.Y. Motors said that the competition was a welcome development because they have been seeing other associations organizing such tournaments and envied them.

For Honourable Nasiru Chawai of Classiel Motors, the competition is unique because it is limited to only car dealers. He said he expects to see more of novelty matches instead of a very serious competition.

Representative of A.U. Motors, Lawal Sambo said he was happy about the competition. He said that though the first edition is limited to only dealers in Kaduna metropolis, he was optimistic that the second edition would feature other car dealers across the 23 local government areas of the state.
