Suspected Bandits Kill Three In Otukpo



Suspected bandits have killed three persons in Otukpo, Otukpo Local Government Area of Benue State according to Alfred Omakwu, the Caretaker Committee Chairman.

The chairman in a phone interview yesterday, lamented the magnitude of killings, saying that his domain does not enjoy peace due to the activities of persons suspected to be bandits.

He said the three persons were killed on Saturday in Entekpa and Uda Ibi, Adoka Icho communities respectively.

The chairman explained that, “one person who was riding a motorbike, they followed him in a bush path and attacked him. They shot him, burnt the bike and escaped. At Uda Ibi in Adoka Icho, they killed 2 persons in a farm.

“We have been having series of meetings with their leaders (Ardos) but this ones that come to our area, they claim to come from Nasarawa. They are not known and their leadership is unknown. These are the violent ones”.

All efforts to get reaction of the Benue State Police Command Police Public Relation failed.
