The All Progressives Congress (APC) congresses scheduled for  October 16,  2021 are pregnant witg the likes of Dr. Raymond Dauda Chidama (MBBS, MPA), vying for  Adamawa party’s secretary.
Raymond, a practicing medical doctor and a die-hard APC loyalist who is known to have built close relationship with grassroots politicians since 2007 to date has vowed to work for the party’s total victory come 2023.
Chidama was a former adviser to Governor Murtala Nyako and Senator Muhammadu Umaru Jibrilla Bindow, respectively, serving the people of Adamawa in both administrations and contributed positively to the development of the state.
The grassroots politician has also served in the capacity of Hong Local Government chairman from 2007-2008 and left indelible records as reference for development
Chidama is attested by many of his political allies in Adamawa to be a core grassroots politician, mobilizer, and strategist who can be a very veritable team partner that can lead the party to greater heights.
In an interview with our correspondent in his office in Yola, Raymond reiterated that the party is facing daunting challenges of reclaiming its mandate back from PDP, the ruling party.
He however, said his nature of working within a challenging, tasking, dynamic situation has become innate in him to be result-oriented at all times and in any way possible.
“I’m a good team player that will always bring about the needed positive change and productivity that will improve and add value to the party. This is my honest target and all I have set to achieve,”  he said.
According to him, he is a serving leader, taking humanity as a spectrum of his leadership style irrespective of one’s status or social background.
“I’m known outside and around Adamawa State as an achiever who believes in hard work, dedication, enthusiasm, and a hunger to learn and develop new ideas from superiors and teammates alike.
“This is my spirit, my passion for the party. I’m passionately engaged to serve God and humanity, especially the people of Adamawa. I’m assuring everyone in APC, our great party, that I have a good dream with my team of core labourers to restore power to the party,” Chidama said.
The good human relations of the Medical Director of Valada Hospital & Maternity who was a former Head of Department (Surgery), Specialist Hospital Yola and served in various capacities as a medical personnel, will help in salvaging Adamawa APC.
A testimony of Isaiah Bernard to newsmen on Chidama revealed that the leadership and philanthropic interventions done by the APC chieftain has rendered free medical surgeries to over 1,000 poor patients that cannot afford treatment costs in Hong Local Government Area, free medical assistance to IDPs, the poor, elderly and Fulani nomads in need earned him a good name in Adamawa State.
Bernard said Adamawa APC needs people like Dr. Raymond who can play multiple roles of a referee and a coach to get the work perfectly done by selecting and training the right people that can boost the party’s  total victory in 2023.
“This man is a coach and a referee you can work together with other party officials in fishing, spotting out who can be good candidates for the party to win in 2023,” Bernard said.
