The Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Saliu Akanmu Adetunji on Saturday asked Nigerians to pray without ceasing for a positive change in the socio-economic affairs of the country.
Oba Adetunji stated this in his Christmas and New Year message made available to newsmen in Ibadan by Alhaji Adeola Oloko, Director Media and Public Affairs to the Olubadan.
The royal father stressed that with prayers, better days are ahead for the country as God would change time in favour of all Nigerians and this trying time would soon be over.
Oba Adetunji while urging Nigerians to be patience with the present administration in the country, as everything will soon be alright, advised Nigerians to emulate the exemplary life and time of our lord, Jesus Christ by embracing the principle of caring and sharing.
According to him, there wass the need for Nigerians irrespective of class, sex, religious and political persuasion to give consideration to the poor and the needy in this challenging time, adding that “Jesus Christ, the reason for the season exemplified charity, love, peace and miracle works, without which no society can make progress”.
