The Senator representing Yobe South, Senator Ibrahim Bomoi has flagged off the distribution of cash grants of 50,000 Naira each to 550 members of his constituents as part of the effort to reduce the level of poverty among the less privileged.

Speaking at the ceremony in Potiskum, the headquarters of Potiskum Local Government Council, the Chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC), Alhaji Bala Musa Lawan revealed  that Senator Bomoi has served only one term, but has touched all nooks and crannies of the senatorial zone with projects and empowerment.

“Within a very shortest time, Senator Bomoi has constructed many tarred roads in the zone and a new one has just been flagged-off, many ICT centres were established across secondary schools and tertiary institutions, as well as scholarships of different categories were awarded.

“Time has come for us to tell the world that Senator Bomoi has done extremely well in touching the lives of the citizenry.  Our major tribes are Kare-Kare, Ngizim, Bolewa, Hausa/Fulani and all have seen what he has done in the zone,” he said.

In his remarks, a young politician, Mohammed Alkali popularly known as (Sarkiyo) asked all the electorate to vote for Ibrahim Bomoi and other APC candidates  to witness more dividends of democracy.

The stakeholders charged all to ensure they obtain their voters card  to exercise their franchise during the 2023 general election.
