The Guyuk/Shelleng Federal Constituency is currently being occupied by a People’s Democratic Party (PDP) man, Honourable Goroki Gebion, who is being challenged by a woman, Princess Aisha Grema of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who has vowed to take over from him.
Aisha said this on Saturday immediately she picked both the nomination and expression of interest forms to contest the House of Representatives seat in the coming 2023 general elections.
According to her, she has been an APC grassroots party woman and worked seriously to see that the party held its grounds throughout the years that PDP took over the Federal Constituency.
She said offering herself at this time, is a burden on her to wipe away the tears of Guyuk/Shelleng electorate.
“It has been a one pressure or the other and demands by my people wanting me to contest,” she said.
She revealed that her agenda for the service ahead is to appeal to all delegates to give her the mandate of service delivery as the true daughter of the land and APC, a party for the masses.
“I have now picked what will liberate the people of Guyuk/Shelleng. The forms are for freedom fighters, to emancipate our people from poor representation.
“I now call on our party leaders, stakeholders to be fair to all and sundry, and our delegates to elect the best that will work for the people in the interest of our dear party,” Grema said.
